Just got a call on my direct line (typically not available to patients) from an international number- woman on the other end wanted 'stem cells' for heart regeneration, saying she had read a news article about our lab's studies back in 2019 @sanginair and I had published (1)
So I went against the grain of many medical colleagues in March 2020 on this- in fact @sanginair and I wrote a perspective piece analyzing the genome of the covid virus, sent it to @Nature and it was rejected within 6 hours!!! We couldn’t even get it on the preprint servers (1)
