So much for a day off. Sometimes my role means I have to be very flexible with how I work. Luckily I work with the most amazing officers who pull together and do what we need to without (much) complaining. I cannot be prouder of doing what we do after the last few weeks 🚔 #FLO💙

After inquest today the amazing family gave me these flowers and card. I love my role as a #FLO For them to take time to say thank you & give such a gesture whilst grieving for their loved one means the world. #FLO 💙 #TheUnseenSideOfPolicing 🚔

What a day! The strength of people in the most tragic of times amazes me still. I’m privileged to carry out the #FLO role I’m not sure I’d have the strength to be on the other side. After 22 years of being a FLO …. This is the best role in policing 💙

Today for the second time something incredible happened…. I cut the grass (obviously this has happened more than twice) but just after, the red arrows flew past…. Like last time …. A fly past for a grass cut wasn’t necessary but made me feel special 😂

Sentencing today, one family lost their daughter & another family’s daughter left with life changing injuries. All read out their impact statements. Their composure & dignity was incredible. No sentence is long enough but they got some justice 🚔 #FLO 💙 #UnseenSideOfPolicing

It’s been so busy this week. The role of the FLO is not visible to many and it’s only when a family is going through the worst time of their life we step into their lives. I’m incredibly proud to carry out my role, this week is another example of how important the role is 🚔💙

Sentencing at court today with a family who lost their loved one. All managed to read their victim personal statements in court. Never underestimate how hard this is, their dignity & strength was and always has been incredible. Honoured to be their #FLO 💙 #UnseenSideOfPolicing🚔

Days like today don’t happen very often, and I’m grateful they don’t! I work with the most incredible mortuary staff & coroners officers (whose work goes completely unseen) who help when we work together to support families. Today was tough, together we got there #FLO 💙🚔
