Do not be surprised when we journalists stop covering news here. I swear by God that today I could not get up from the hunger. There is no food. Even if someone has money, there is nothing in the market to even purchase. We are all starving. We are all dying.
Today Glendale Memorial Hospital did not allow an attorney with @ImmDef entry to see their client. Journalists were also denied entry into the lobby, the same “public space” federally contracted detention officers are allowed to occupy.
I was diagnosed with a concussion after federal agents shot me in the head with a rubber bullet.
On June 7, Mena was struck in the head with a rubber bullet and caught in tear gas while covering protests in Compton in response to an immigration operation at a Home Depot in nearby Paramount. pressfreedomtracker.us/all-incidents/…
Reporter @ryannemena of @SoCalNewsGroup was shot with crowd-control munitions by federal agents two days in a row while covering anti-deportation protests in LA County. On June 6, she was shot in the thigh with a pepper ball. pressfreedomtracker.us/all-incidents/…
Officers shot @ryannemena & @ACatWithNews w/pepper balls. British journo @NickSternPhotos had emergency surgery after a plastic bullet struck his leg Sunday. Officers shot @LaurenTomasi in the leg w/a rubber bullet as she reported on air: @pressfreedom cpj.org/2025/06/law-en…
This is the second day in the row federal agents shot journalists
Journalists @ryannemena and @ACatWithNews have been injured by police covering the anti-ICE protest in Paramount. They were shot by Homeland Security in the head by less-lethal rounds and tear gassed.
The father is screaming “help”
A father screams for his child inside of a tiny interview room within a basement waiting room inside LA federal building. The space is not a holding area. No food. No water. No diapers. Those initially detained include a 2-year-old US citizen and a woman with high-risk pregnancy.
Homeland Security agents shot me and other journalists with pepper ball bullets yesterday in Los Angeles

Immigration agents targeted multiple downtown LA locations today. Read my latest: dailynews.com/2025/06/06/fed…

“Immigrant advocates have said removing people to a prison in El Salvador before the cases against them were resolved means that Trump, asserting his executive authority, short-circuited the criminal justice system.”
NEW: We obtained DHS data that shows the US knew only 32 of the 238 Venezuelans deported to a prison in El Salvador in March were convicted of US crimes, only 6 of those violent. Trump called them “savages,” “monsters” and "the worst of the worst.” propublica.org/article/trump-…
