Not unity. Not unreal. Kitten space agency. Custom engine. Dust storm on Mars. Releasing for free, powered by contributions. Will have some tech firsts. See for yourself.
Dust storm on Mars, in Kitten Space Agency. No unreal. No unity. BRUTAL framework.
Added the new extra solar object 3I/ATLAS to Kitten Space Agency. Trying to get a burn to intercept. I think I need a real rocket scientist 😂

Kitten Space Agency in game, earth atmosphere now with ozone
Here's a demonstration of the latest with our "spherical billboarding" method to render the lunar surface in KSA. This is taken realtime, from within the game while the rest of the solar system is simulated. Powered by our own framework, called BRUTAL.
Here's a great shot of a mars orbit, taken in Kitten Space Agency
Did my first transfer from Earth to Mars in Kitten Space Agency... incredible!

Chasing this story and reached out to Unity for comment to get both sides. To me, this is an odd one. If you've missed the details it seems like it may sort itself out... in Dean's case at least. But if you're a Unity dev and experienced something similar let me (or Dean) know.

We had a similar experience—got strange emails from an engine company’s sales team claiming we were breaching ToS and pushing us to switch to an industrial license. They provided no evidence, and we confirmed we were compliant after reviewing the ToS multiple times. After we…
Hey @CreativeChris1 you mentioned unity values unsolicited feedback. Care to explain this? reddit.com/r/gamedev/s/V5…

Volumetric engine and RCS plumes in KSA, I think probably the first time this approach has been used in a video game. Results speak for themselves. Just FYI, this is a real unedited video from the game - not a video of irl or a render.
So @valvesoftware going to apologize, reverse the negative reviews we got, and the cost of refunds… for a bug I reported so many times over the last few years they told me to stop reporting it… right? Right? pcguide.com/news/valve-fix…
