Essay Take the Win? There is a worrying development in the country. People who would normally be relied upon to demand truth are caving. Bizarre notions of reality are accepted because it is the best that can be done or hoped for. What they seem to not understand is that this is…

American jeans are a symbol of racial superiority! Come to think of it, I've never seen an American black, Hispanic, or Asian person wearing a pair of jeans. She's right by golly.
What a great and decent man. That someone so brave, strong, and mission driven expressed such sentiments highlights a lost understanding of manhood.
My Dear Mr. Davis, You can conceive better than I can express the misery which your friends have suffered from your long imprisonment and the other afflictions incident thereto. To none has this been more painful than to me, and the impossibility of affording relief has added…
It is dangerous that some are destroyed and some are restored. It is totalitarian and more than half the country cheer it on. Let it stiffen your resolve. Historic civil war monument to be restored share.google/34JpCYMliHaVqu…
The left ignore Gore Vidal when it comes to Lincoln and the Civil War. They have lined up with William F. Buckley and "conservative" historian Harry Jaffa. People with principles have no party any longer. pbs.org/video/independ…
In an interview, Gore Vidal said, “I always thought Lincoln was wrong. I always thought the South had every right to go. If Lincoln had a high moral purpose—which has now been invented for him, posthumously, as the abolition of slavery—I’d say, well it’s illegal but it’s morally…
This is one of the most egregious lies of the period. All their minions (sheep) dutifully repeated it. I saw it almost as many times as I saw reference to the most famous vice president in history, Alexander Stephens.
Now that the Lee Charlottesville Dedication Speech is posted, I should remind everyone that the media lied about Lee’s opposition to monuments. He was concerned about the timing! #History #historylessons
The West African country Burkina Faso produced a commemorative series of stamps on "Ships Throughout the Ages" in the late 1990s. They correctly determined that the CSS Nashville should be included in the series.

"By requiring only a Majority to make all commercial and navigation Laws, the five Southern States (whose Produce and Circumstances are totally different from that of the eight Northern and Eastern States) will be ruined..." - George Mason, November 1787 -

This is a very good question from @DefendArlington. In the early 20th century, Union veterans emphatically supported reconciliation. The leader of the Grand Army of the Republic, General Gardner, spoke at the Confederate Memorial dedication ceremony in 1914. "...neither side…

"Alongside his argument against the spread of slavery and for the right of all men to liberty, Lincoln also took care to assure his audience that the Republican Party represented the only bulwark for white men 'who want the land [in the West] to bring up their families upon'."

He thinks Americans have turned against the Trump immigration policy. Highlighting that less than 6% of ICE detentions were violent convicts is not the flex he thinks it is. The remaining 94% are, at minimum, here illegally, and some portion are criminals yet to be convicted.
The fact of the matter is that Donald Trump has gone too far, and the public is turning against him.
"It may be recalled that during the opening days of the war, slaves captured by the Union forces, were returned to their disloyal masters. Here there is sufficient evidence in the concrete that slavery was not the avowed cause of the conflict." Charles H. Wesley

The USS Gideon Welles and the USS Hilary A. Herbert are launched on the same day. Both were Secretary of the Navy. Herbert was also colonel in the Confederate Army and Welles was the Union Secretary of the Navy under Lincoln. Reconciliation was real. York Herald, 09 May 1919

Nothing irritates Kevin Levin more than black men writing and talking about black Confederates. Earl Ijames mishandled "evidence related to the presence of black southerners (free and enslaved) in Confederate armies, but it is truly disturbing to learn that a historian such as…

"When the future historian of our republick, shall search for acts of patriotism, and matter for biography, the contrast between the heroes who have created, and the politicians who have ruined a nation, will afford him ample room for exhausting the strongest phrases of eulogy…
