Re: preaching ministry Having a prayer life doesn’t always mean there will be an observable difference in one’s anointing, effectiveness, etc. as it relates to preaching. Having a life w/God in prayer empowers us to preach w/integrity & character; to preach with a pure heart.
Read Acts 12 today. The church prays Peter out of prison. But he has a hard time getting into the church prayer meeting. Ironically it was easier for him to get out of prison than it was to get into the church.

Until the Church consistently leads people to the wilderness (i.e. prayer, solitude, silence, reflection, repentance, etc.) to confront our own demons, we will project our demons back out into the world, and fail to see that some demons in the world are reflections of ourselves.

The real issue of Christian faith is not whether one confesses Jesus as the Messiah or not, but whether one is willing to follow Jesus in the way of redemptive suffering or not.
Preached on the story of Cain and Abel. I contrasted our jealousy with God’s jealousy and pointed to the difference between Cain and Jesus. 🙏🏽
