The Society opposes the plan by @metpoliceuk to close its front counter service in Twickenham. This means there will be no police station in the borough to report crime in person. We agree with @LBRUT that this is “deeply concerning and a major blow to local policing.”
We were fascinated to see this meteorological phenomenon in Richmond today. #SummerRain

The Met Police have decided to close the 24/7 front counter at Twickenham Police Station - the last front counter in #LBRuT. The Council has condemned the move, branding it deeply concerning and a major blow. Read Cllr @Gareth_Roberts_' statement here ⬇️ orlo.uk/IRsYu

We’re pleased to see action after the Society raised the issue of the RSPCA cattle fountain at the top of the Hill. The monument was badly damaged last October. @LBRUT has now arranged for the broken section to be taken away to prevent further damage and assess for repairs.

For #mothmonday a recent find in Richmond Park, the Green Forester Moth is a rare day flying moth. Sometimes described as the closest thing to a fairy in nature, this iridescent little gem can change colour from red in the morning to green in the afternoon! 📷Holly Foulds.
The Richmond Society is asking the developers of the site of the former Richmond Inn Hotel to make their future plans known. It’s currently an eyesore, and we want to know when remedial work will start.
