Lately I’ve been thinking about everything I’ve said no to just to focus on work. Opportunities. Projects. Things that felt like a big deal at the time. Part of me wants to lock in harder than ever. Take on every project. Scale fast. But another part wonders if I already missed…
I saw a tik tok today that said: "If your life was a movie and people were watching. What would the audience be screaming at you to do?" Very quickly I realize the answer is that I should completely not go to college, get an office, and move the team in house to go full hard…
The older I get, the more I realize how rare it is to have friends who celebrate you and call you out. Keep those people close.
Being in the right room can do more for your career in 1 hour than cold emails can in 6 months. That’s why if you get an opportunity to go to SF, do it. I promise you it’s worth it.
One thing I’ve noticed is that the people who succeed are rarely the smartest. They’re the ones who stayed consistent when everyone else stopped.
The best phase of life is when you and your friends are building, sharing wins, and pulling each other up.
the gold rush continues. the biggest secrets of sv new media are that 1) there's a critical lack of creative talents and 2) these talents are usually underestimated and underpaid. whoever understands and solves this will achieve a level cultural ascendency never seen before
New: Palantir's CTO and several early employees are raising money to launch Founders Films, a film and TV production studio that aims to "say yes to projects about American exceptionalism, name America’s enemies, back artists unconditionally, take risk on novel IP.”

Over the past few months, I’ve been talking to creatives across all mediums (video, photo, design), and we all agree that we’ll see explosive growth in SF over the next few years. We’re at the cusp.
As a struggling startup founder, thanks for paying my rent this month 🥹😔

It was an honor to be present @WhiteHouse to see @POTUS sign into law America’s first crypto legislation. This is truly a historic moment. Stablecoins and crypto offer a full upgrade to the financial and payment systems. It offers an egalitarian system that doesn’t care about…
It is a privilege to have a passion. Most people don't even get to discover theirs.
The most overlooked skill in tech right now? Storytelling. Everyone’s building. Few can explain why it matters.
It is hard for me to put into words how excited I am about this. We @a16z are extremely proud to be associated with it.
1/ It's time to bring back "designed in California, made in California.” Today, at @reindsummit, @ashleevance and I introduced Solano Foundry, the largest advanced manufacturing park in America, an hour north of Silicon Valley. Built by @CAForever with @JLL. 🧵
I'm joining @eriktorenberg at @a16z on the new media team. Our mission: curate the most important conversations in technology (via podcasts, writing, and group chats), capture our world as it transforms, and write the history of the future in advance. If that compels you, DM me.
Attention is a currency. Spend it wisely, turn it into opportunities, and then reinvest.
That sinking feeling when you fix one bug and accidentally break three others. I don’t wish that upon my worst enemies.
