Flora inspired small-batch textiles, plant-dyeing and landscape wanderings
Plant dyes - all the colours achievable from leaf, flower and root within around a five mile radius. The red hot poker root was a gift from a friend on Skye but that’s only several miles across the water…

The sea temperature is lovely right now but I think I’ll pass.
The plant-dyeing has been scant this year. It’s a mercurial mojo that comes and goes. I’m grateful when it appears but I don’t chase the process. This coreopsis needed deadheading and there is colour even in this small handful. Now to hunt down some mordanted cloth.

Bought this beautiful purse for my daughter. She is absolutely delighted with it! Order from @redrubyrose_ What a service! Rowena contacted me immediately to confirm details and within 48 hours. Beautifully wrapped and outstanding quality. Highly recommended. I'll be back! ,😃
A handful of tiny yellow stars strewn across an old stone wall✨ Another name for Biting Stonecrop is ‘Goldmoss’. #WildflowerHour
My view of An Cliseam on Isle of Harris last night, before sunset. Happy Solstice, everyone.
The loudest cuckooing earlier made me look up from my sewing machine. There he was, right outside the window.

Clover flower. If this was rarer wouldn’t we oh and aaah over them. Such lovelies.
