The movie up I’m hoping to see made after “Predator: Badlands”.

“Orphan” was released #OTD in 2009. Not gonna lie. I had no interest in this when it came out, as I figured it to be another bland studio offering. Boy was I wrong! IMO “Orphan” is one of the best suspense thrillers of the 00’s, superbly acted and executed.

An alt poster I made for an underrated gem of a slasher film, “The House on Sorority Row” (1981).

With NECA having made a figure of “Savini Jason” from the “Friday the 13th” video game, how about a movie based on this concept?

Jan de Bont’s remake of “The Haunting” was released #OTD In 1999. Me personally, I prefer to call it “A Precious Moments Haunting”, with all its goofy, CGI cherub statues coming to life.

I’m super stoked “Evil Dead Burn” is finally underway. And not just because I’m a huge fan of the franchise, and how impressed I am with how they’ve handled the recent entries. I love the fact that this film was PITCHED rather than dictated. That’s always a promising sign.

Considering how big a success “Freddy Vs. Jason” was, had Platinum Dunes’ remakes to “Friday the 13th” & “A Nightmare on Elm Street” been huge hits that spawned many sequels, you know we’d have gotten a remake with their iterations. (Thanks to @ang6377 for suggesting this).

Wes Craven’s “The Hills Have Eyes” was released #OTD in 1977.

“Jaws 3-D” was released #OTD in 1983. Aside from being a delightfully awful movie, what kills me most about it is how little thought was given to its posterity after its theatrical run. All the lingering “coming at ya” 3-D shots now feel so out of place.

Well, that’s just great! They just announced the sequel to “Godzilla: Minus One” is in development…and he has to go and get himself ARRESTED!

“Cobweb” was released #OTD two years ago. I loved everything about this film UNTIL the CGI reveal. I personally wish the monster was kept in the shadows, as it was far more effective that way. But that’s just me. What did you think?

Had Paramount held onto the “Friday the 13th” films after Part VIII, you know we would’ve ended up with something like this.

#NowWatching the Spanish film “Tesis” (1996) on Amazon Prime. If you were a fan of last year’s “Red Rooms” like I was, this is definitely one you should you check out. This same director would later go onto to make “The Others” (2001) with Nicole Kidman.
