How do you develop reading for pleasure in KS2? You can have all the great books in the world but without the desire to go and pick them up, they are just on display. Do you have a culture for reading for pleasure? What do you do?
Here is a story told to me by a just 3-year-old. He didn't need to be told what a noun or a verb was to tell it in a form that made perfect sense. The process of turning it into 'sentences' by me writing it down involved putting his exact words on paper and punctuating them. 1/
They do not need to know what a verb or noun is to 'tell' you a story. Physically writing & punctuating those thoughts on paper will take time but shouldn't be held up by those 'secretarial' challenges. 4/
This is fantastic news!
We were thrilled to be at the Treasury yesterday as the Chancellor @RachelReevesMP committed to ensuring every primary school will have a library by the end of this Parliament.
