🚀🤩 IT'S HAPPENING! Elysian is officially live as the first-ever #WebXR #PWA to ship on the Meta Horizon Store! This has been, in more ways than one, a dream come true—though I'm equal parts thrilled and terrified shipping my first game to a store 😅
Speaking of Browser, apparently there's a crash issue affecting Quest 2 hardware and Meta is asking for help debugging it. If you have this issue, head over to the linked thread and follow the instructions.
Also I really wish they'd do a hard optimization pass on Quest Browser. The huge stutter you get when opening/closing/minimizing the app drives me nuts, and it's the only system app that has such an issue.

WebXR support in the browser is coming soon and will enable developers to build, test, and access WebXR experiences. We are not ready to share what will and won't be supported yet, but stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the release!
Testing out WebXR with threejs. Complex PBR material on revolver and performance still holds. Blown away how easy it is to set it up and iterate quickly. Insta builds compared to Unity. Feels like the MR future will indeed be web based.

@threejs has depth sensing, but it's currently all or nothing. so I extended the existing shader to ignore depth data outside a given radius, achieving an AVP-like body masking w/o environmental occlusion. Bonus effect! it exposes hidden objects when you get close to them.
Update on Quest 2 / 3S software: almost all can now use device normally — but if you're still stuck contact consumer support and we'll fix you up. For Quest 3S we now also have an easy flow for you to check eligibility and request a replacement.
