Israeli-Arab American. Galilean from Nazareth. Antiradical. Blessed are the peacemakers.
I am an Arab Muslim who was born and raised in Israel. My father worked at one of the largest transportation bus companies in Israel, called Egged אגד, for decades. Most of my father's closest friends were Jews, one of whom had lost his young son in an infamous tragic terrorist…
As an Israeli Arab, i have never personally encountered another fellow Israeli Arab who wished to reside anywhere else in MENA besides Israel. There has to be a good reason. This isn't hasbara. It's reality.
Hi @grok In which country do Arabs, including Muslims, enjoy the most liberal freedoms in the entire MENA region? Name the country only.
As an Israeli Arab and Muslim, my support for Israel stems not primarily from a religious reason, but rather from its dedication to core democratic principles, its vibrant diversity, and the liberal freedoms it extends to all citizens, irrespective of their faith or ethnicity.
This is Salim Joubran (Z"L). An Israeli-Arab who served as Deputy Chief Justice of Israel’s Supreme Court where he ensured former Israeli PM Olmert’s appeal was denied, sending him to jail. He also chaired Israel’s General Elections Committee. Israel sucks at “apartheid.”
This is George Karra. He is an Israeli Arab citizen who - as a Tel Aviv District Court Judge - sentenced a former Israeli president, Moshe Katsav, to 7 years in prison. Judge Karra later served as a distinguished Justice on Israel’s Supreme Court. Israel sucks at “apartheid.”
The truth that Hamas doesn’t want you to know about the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
This is Amira al Hayb. She is a Muslim Israeli Arab citizen who, at 19 years old, volunteered to serve in the IDF in a combat position. She also served as part of the Israeli Border Police. Israel sucks at “apartheid.”
This is Col. Wajdi Sarhan. He is a Muslim Israeli Arab & a Colonel in the IDF. He wants “to create role models … someone who wears the uniform for a period of 2 years—or even 2 months—comes out a different person. They become much more Israeli.” Israel sucks at “apartheid.”
This is Major Ala Waheeb. He is a Muslim Israeli-Arab citizen & proud Major in the IDF. Major Waheeb notes, “When Hamas fires rockets, or Fatah encourages stabbings, we are here to protect the lives of all Israeli citizens, Jewish and non-Jewish.” Israel sucks at “apartheid.”
This is Major Ella Waweya. She is a Muslim Israeli-Arab citizen who has proudly served in the IDF for the last 11 years. Major Waweya was born in the Israeli-Arab town of Kalansuwa, and she calls joining the IDF “the best decision I ever made.” Israel sucks at “apartheid.”
Those who truly want the war to end, call on Hamas to surrender and release all remaining hostages. It is the right course of action to end the humanitarian suffering.

This is Samer Haj Yehia. An Israeli-Arab who served as Executive Chairman of Bank Leumi - Israel’s largest bank, est. 1902 by Jews in Jaffa. In 2019, Netanyahu tweeted: “I welcome Dr. Samer Haj Yehia’s appointment … & wish him the best of luck!” Israel sucks at “apartheid.”
The Israeli people show remarkable resilience, consistently choosing optimism and life even in the face of tragedy and loss. This unwavering national spirit is one that Israeli Arabs are also a part of.
Amidst all challenges, Israel ranked as the second happiest country for those under the age of 30. Kol Hakavod.
The happiest countries in the world (for age below 30): 1. Lithuania 🇱🇹 2. Israel 🇮🇱 3. Serbia 🇷🇸 4. Iceland 🇮🇸 5. Denmark 🇩🇰 6. Luxembourg 🇱🇺 7. Finland 🇫🇮 8. Romania 🇷🇴 9. Netherlands 🇳🇱 10. Czechia 🇨🇿 ~ 12. Austria 🇦🇹 14. Croatia 🇭🇷 15. Slovenia 🇸🇮 18. Sweden 🇸🇪…
Calling for a Palestinian state, without conditions being met by the PA, does nothing to end this war. Hamas is still holding hostages and Israel's borders are not secure. If France wants to do something productive they should help eliminate Hamas.
The litmus test is whether you publicly denounced and condemned Hamas' brutal attacks on innocent Israeli civilians on October 7th. If you didn’t, your current views on the Israel-Palestine conflict will be met with a great deal of skepticism.
This is picture of me inside a Hamas tunnel (pre Oct 7th). One of these tunnels is estimated to cost at least $3m to build. That's foreign aid money that could have been used in Gaza to create: 🏥 20 medical clinics 🏫 6 schools 🏡 100 homes 🍴 Countless supply of food
On October 7, Hamas committed the largest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust, burning families, murdering children, and taking hostages. Recognizing a Palestinian state after this atrocity (with Hamas still active and defiantly in control of Gaza) risks being interpreted as a…
Regardless of who came from where. It's all about what people are doing now with the country they currently inhabit. Israel 🇮🇱 built a democracy in which both Jews and Arabs live as equal citizens under the rule of law. I am an Israeli Arab who was born and raised in Israel.
Druze along with other minorities exist peacefully in Israel, as should be the case everywhere else in MENA. Religion and faith are personal matters as long as practiced peacefully, and no one should be persecuted, harassed, let alone be killed, for their personal beliefs.
At the core, both Jews and Arabs are inherently good people. As an Israeli Arab born and raised in the midst of both cultures, I have witnessed firsthand the potential for peace and coexistence when we set aside preconceived prejudices and radical religious ideologies. Arabs and…
Miss Israel of 1999, Rana Raslan, a Muslim Israeli Arab from Haifa. - Let that sink in 🤷🏻♂️
This is Rana Raslan. A Muslim Israeli Arab citizen, Rana was named Miss Israel in 1999, and she proudly represented her country at the Miss Universe contest. She said, “I am totally Israeli, and I do not think about whether I am an Arab or a Jew.” Israel sucks at “apartheid.”
As an Israeli Arab, i also second Ali's statements. Israel isn't flawless, but it certainly does guarantee its Arab citizens, particularly women, freedoms that are simply unparalleled in the entire MENA region.
