For July 24-28: Expect GOOD air quality overall this weekend with westerly winds that should keep wildfire smoke out of our region. However, areas of Western Kitsap could see occasional Moderate air quality due to the Bear Gulch fire near Lake Cushman. pscleanair.gov

At Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, we diligently monitor air quality every day to give you real-time forecasts. Before you plan to spend your time outdoors, make sure the air is on your side. Check the forecast at pscleanair.gov

When wildfire smoke is in the air you need filtration. N95, KN95, and KF94 respirators are best for blocking fine particles. Check your local AQI to know when a mask is needed. Choose one that fits, and remember child-sized options are available too. pscleanair.gov/wildfires

For July 11-14: We’ll have mostly GOOD air quality throughout the Sound. A wildfire continues to burn in the Olympics-there’s a slight chance it may cause air quality to reach MODERATE in west Kitsap. Otherwise, the region should be sunny and pleasant. pscleanair.gov
