Some of y’all think you can boycott AI into going away. You cannot. AI is progress in science and technology and will only expand from here. And yes, AI + whatever technology comes next will be both useful and harmful just like all technology throughout history has been.
AI is going to cause environmental impact no matter what. Using AI ethically means harm reduction, not a complete stop. Also, you won’t have a choice but to participate in AI whether it’s as a builder or user. You already do. Black ppl should absolutely be conscious builders.
