My mother told me many stories of her life in segregated America. The racism/sexism/classism and break in her education. Here we are again in America, hurting people badly. But people like my ma fought; so must we, today, for future generations. She never gave up. Neither will I.

With my mother today, helping her shred papers, organize, prepare things she wants to give away, and dealing with dust that has piled up. She still proudly says “I’m independent” but everyone needs help now and again. Like many, my mother saves everything, good grief. :)
