To add to this, I’m tired of people saying that someone is being “manipulative” when in reality they are trying to explain their disability to others, or why/how they need accommodations. We aren’t farming for sympathy or leniency, we are trying to inform and communicate.

We are back now! I say my husband took me but it was really my parents. My dad is in his 70s so it was really great being able to make fun memories with them while we are all still able. The thought of losing them one day guts me, so I want to make as many memories as I can.

I started sewing in response to being a welder in the military. Working with metal all day made me want to touch soft things when I got home (I’m very tactile), so I started learning to make plushies because I liked the way minky felt.

We may be away for the night but I still brought some sewing to do because I am trying my best to work on plushes every day. The husband of course holds my needles, he’s so helpful. We are having a great time.
