I have never seen a single person in science work more tirelessly for their trainees, but half of Dr. Hinton’s talk was about the mentors that supported and sponsored him. The message was clear: he can only do what he does today with his team because there was a team behind him.

On July 6th, along with many families in Chapel Hill, we were displaced from our rental home, and lost a lot of furniture, etc. due to damage and the rushed move. However, we were lucky to be safe, thanks to the quick responses of many, and we have been well cared for since.
