The great plains used to be savanna. And they got more rain. It's pretty well understood now that the large scale presence of trees on the landscape maintains sufficient precipitation patterns. Loose the trees, loose the rains.

Beautiful day to be born. Calving season in full swing and we are headed out to the pastures to start grazing.
On top of basically getting all of my meat from @pclarkallen I just signed up for a weekly fruit and veg CSA onto which I added cream, milk, sour cream, yogurt cheese and eggs. Honestly idk why more people aren't just getting deliveries of fresh, local foods. It's just a click!
Drinking maple sap instead of water throughout the day is the best park of syrup season.
