Big announcement time. Been keeping this one under wraps for a while. After a decade in athletics, I’ve gone full time Tactical S&C. It’s been an amazing experience and I’m honored to be a part of it. Coolest job in the world 🇺🇸

Things I can teach you: - Programming - Physiology - Cueing Things I can't teach you: - Showing up to work on time - Caring about the people you're training - Having a genuine interest in the subject matter Have latter and you'll learn the former Opposite is not true
Long Term Training 101 Beginners - Coordination - GPP - Confidence Intermediates - Build skill - Accumulate volume - Get strong-enough Advanced - Explosive strength - Rate of force development - Transfer to field There's your 5 year plan
Fatigue is the enemy in training Do enough to trigger a training effect and that's it Any more puts you on the wrong side of diminishing returns
Tired of grinding through 300 page textbooks only to not learn about real world programming anyway? The Strength Training Program Design Course will fast forward you straight to the answers you need Join 1,700+ who decided to stop wasting their time 👉 patbasil.com/fundamentals/

Not 100% sure about your program? Run it anyway Can't edit and improve it if you don't see if it works or not
Programming 101 Upper Body Pulls: Horizontal: - Rows Vertical: - Chin Ups, Pulldowns Do one per day. In a 3x/week, do 2 Horizontal, 1 Vertical Day 1: DB Row Day 2: Chin Ups Day 3: TRX Rows
Sport practice and games = Conditioning sessions If you're practicing at least 2x/week, you probably don't need any more conditioning 2 practices + 1/2 games is plenty
Truly strong athletes handle odd position presses well Great total-body strength developers
I been loving a heavy z-press too!
Astronomical health benefit for most people And so easy to build in too
Want to improve your overall health? Strength Train 3x a week. Go for a daily walk.
