The reward for information into the killing of a congressional intern has climbed to 40 thousand dollars. Rewards for homicides in the district are generally 25 thousand. Last week the chief said the FBI was enhancing some “grainy” video.

New-Montgomery County Fire and Rescue has confirmed the firefighter who used a fire hose to flood a baseball field last Thursday has been identified as Captain Chris Reilly. The Captain has been placed on administrative leave with pay and is under investigation by park police.

Despite a cause and manner of death ruling of “Undetermined” the U.S. Attorneys office has obtained an indictment for first degree murder in the death last October of Deandre Pettus Jr. The indictment says Deandre Pettus Sr killed his son “by drowning him on or about October 6th.

DOJ Attorneys tell Judge Paula Xinis the Trump Administration plans to deport Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a third county and inferred the government would not pursue criminal charges against him. Judge Xinis has ordered an evidentiary hearing for Thursday.
Judge Paula Xinis to hold another hearing today on motions in the on-going Kilmar Abrego Garcia case. The Trump Administration wants the case dismissed but Abrego Garcia’s attorneys want sanctions against the government for not complying with the judges orders.

New-driver narrowly misses being injured when a tree toppled onto her car today on Klingle Road NW. The woman declined to give her name but said if someone had been in the passenger seat they would likely have been killed. Car is totaled. Happened just off Porter Street.

New - A Federal Magistrate judge in Nashville has released Kilmar Abrego Garcia on his own recognizance and ordered that he live with his brother in Maryland along with a number of other terms of release. The wild card is ICE which will likely detain him immediately.

17 year old Kyree Young has been charged as an adult in the killing of 55 year old Donnel Phillips (below) Young has been charged with Felony Murder.
