I’m always stirred and challenged by God’s organization while reading through 1 Chronicles. Men knew their Divine roles & flourished doing what God asked them to do: porters, singers, treasurers, etc Many names…but the men of strength, valour, & wisdom always are noted by God!

Doing less for God will always appeal to the flesh, and the reason for doing less is typically selfish. Jeroboam deceitfully led the sheep of Israel to worship golden calves. He had his motives. Leaders always do. What did he tell them? “It’s too much to go to Jerusalem.”

But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David’s brother: and Jonadab was a very subtil man. 2 Samuel 13:3 It’s very possible that a subtil cousin has caused more harm than any other youthful relationship. Parents, we can’t let our guard down. Ever.

“…What do ye more than others?…” Mt. 5:47 “Be ye therefore perfect…” Mt. 5:48 Upon concluding Mt. ch 5, one arrives at the conclusion that God’s expectations for those following Jesus, & filled with His Spirit are most often higher than what we put on ourselves! Press on!

Herschel Walker was just tapped by President Trump to be our ambassador to the Bahamas. That sounds like a pretty great reward for faithfulness to the MAGA cause… Now imagine the moment of receiving your orders for service to Christ during the Millennium! Stay faithful!
