Feels like AI coding bubble is bursting - engineers are realizing that you can't just prompt and go play Padel while robots are commiting - anthropic is setting new quotas - cursor is changing pricing / quotas too
Go dependency injection with wire is beautiful No magic containers, no runtime reflection, just statically generated code 😍 Same for sqlc... things can be simple
One of our enterprise customers spent almost $200 on API calls yesterday alone 😳 This is pretty huge given our scale
As I'm listening to Ozzy a lot those last days, I'm thinking how unique he was. We often try to be like someone else, emulate what worked for others. At the same time we are kinda drawn to "something else". Embrace yourself! Dorky, funny accent, weird voice, shorter leg, weird…
I understand that it's a common phrasing, but I don't ever think about myself as a dog OWNER. My dog is part of my family. He's something between a child and a brother. I would never think about him as something I own. We just happen to live together and care for each other.

Been getting emails about using LangGraph AI agents with local LLMs for privacy. Thinking of adding a chapter to the book on this. Until then, here’s a video on installing Ollama, pulling Llama 3.2 locally, and integrating it with LangChain.js: youtu.be/pKK07kObVnw?si…

Keep things simple! I just implemented a simple file lock mechanism to prevent duplicate work for Notamify data import. Does it work for distributed systems? No. Does it cover 100% of use cases? No. Is it sexy smart? No. Does it work for us? Yes!
Don't fall for the "no true developer" fallacy Language/technology is just a tool, tool to SOLVE PROBLEMS.
Do people using Laravel still know how to build stuff with plain PHP?
