I try to live every day like it's a Bank Holiday; with as much eating and sleeping as possible.

I tried to join the London Marathon but I ended up dropping my sandwich. By the time I found it, everyone was gone!

At the station today I heard the voice say "mind the gap." I gave it a long, thoughtful look, then I nodded and stepped over it politely.

Today Mrs. Bird said the building down the street was looking a little tired, so I left it a marmalade sandwich. That usually does the trick.

Problems always seem smaller after a marmalade sandwich.

I wrote a very long letter to Aunt Lucy this morning, I hope she doesn't mind the marmalade stains on page sixteen.

This morning I pressed all the buttons in the lift so everyone could enjoy each floor properly.

My umbrella is very useful on rainy days, but I love it for the shade on sunny ones too.
