Indie entrepreneur. Building websites for fun and to make a living.
Why are indie hackers still so obsessed with web directories, like it's 2000s? I've never seen any SEO benefit from submitting to them, am I missing something? And if it's all about DR, that can only be a gatekeeping metric to keep out new competitors.
I'm nearly convinced that there are some keywords you should never target, even if they're in your niche. No matter what you do, they rarely rank and often drag down your other pages.
Testing JetBrains' Junie, and I think it's performing well enough. I'll probably use it instead of Cursor, since PhpStorm is my all-time favorite IDE.
Building a simple, bug-free math calculator is really hard. And, you can't know that until you try. I gave up because there are so many edge cases in the scientific mode. Even Microsoft's calculator is still actively developed and has hundreds of open issues on GitHub.
I’m going to try Claude 4 tonight and really have high hopes for it. It’s weird that I’m more excited about an AI model than wandering around Paris.
Introducing the next generation: Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4. Claude Opus 4 is our most powerful model yet, and the world’s best coding model. Claude Sonnet 4 is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, delivering superior coding and reasoning.
Coldplay albums after Viva La Vida are like decaf coffee served in a fancy mug.
With Claude AI down, I'm watching Eurovision without distractions, and the first thing I see is someone named Claude representing the Netherlands.
TIL that it is not that easy to calculate beyond 170! with JavaScript as it uses IEEE 754 double-precision floats (max is 1.8×10^308) by default, so 171! overflows to Infinity. Even Google Calculator hits the same limit.

Commas and decimals are still a pain when working with HTML number input across multiple locales.
Ahrefs' "Folders" feature is useless if you aren't a team. I want to use it to hide a project from the main dashboard, and only track it when I check its folder. The current functionality for solos is to help with OCD. Also, "Starred first" isn't a "Starred only" filter.

DaisyUI 5 is great @Saadeghi, but the .fieldset-legend looks like a label, and the label looks like something else. When everything was inside .form-control, it felt clearer. A best practice form example featuring multiple inputs, and a textarea would be extremely helpful.
This is not unexpected, but I wonder if this includes Auto calls as well. x.com/cursor_ai/stat…
