Here’s a fun fact to start your week: @PembrokeOxford turned 401 at the end of June! 🎉🎂 Founded in 1624 during the reign of King James I, the college was named after the 3rd Earl of Pembroke, who was also Lord Chamberlain and Chancellor of the University at the time.

NEW: Eight exceptional individuals whose achievements have made lasting contributions to the world were recognised today with honorary degrees at Oxford University’s Encaenia.

Exeter College was honoured to host Lord Crewe’s Benefaction this morning in the Fellows’ Garden, part of @UniofOxford Encaenia ceremony. The Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, and honorands gathered with other University dignitaries, before processing to the Sheldonian Theatre.
