This is one of the first illustrations I did after getting an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil back in 2016. These guys eventually made an appearance in a double-page-spread in ODDLY NORMAL Book 4. (Never throw away a good idea!)

I worked at a video store for about a year in the 90s. Boring job. But I had just gotten a laserdisc player and the store rented laserdiscs. No one ever rented them, so I was able to buy them cheap when they died on the rental shelves. My LD collection was amazing. 😬
It's been said that video stores were a, "film school, a place of cinematic discovery and a rite of passage". So many gems where discovered in stores like these, The Thing, First Blood, The Blues Brothers... do you have any video store memories?
