This recent Covid has me feeling like Dengue fever. 😩😩😩 I have a high pain tolerance, but for the love… it’s not just the migraine, fever, nausea and pain -even my teeth hurt. (I put this out into the Twitter universe hoping it’s a weird, magic way to shorten the ordeal.)

Take a look at this article (article link in Christa’s replies). Many of us for years have seen clear patterns that create and uphold abusive environments in church. We see it in the culture/system, also coded into some of the theology is the devaluation of the vulnerable.

As a survivor of SA, I promise you there are currently millions of victims terrified to come forward because they are watching their friends and family support an administration cover for and celebrate predators.

I’ve said this many times but it bears repeating. The rise and continuing defense of Trump perfectly mirrors how many in the church have defended abusive/narcissistic leaders. I’m not sure anymore how to make people care about victims 💔 or understand predator dynamics.

I’d like ALL info to come out around Epstein perpetrators - even if it reveals people on all sides. But, many MAGAs it seems only want democrats to be revealed? I see the same pattern in churches -expose victims or “enemies” but defend the suspected, beloved leader. Cult 101.

It will always baffle me how easily people will believe that the poor, the sick, the marginalized, and the immigrant are the cause for all their problems, rather than the people in the most powerful positions in their country who refuse to fix problems and exploit them instead.

This AM I had nightmare that started with me trying to survive a killer clown, then transitioned to me running with a baby, protecting a mother trying to fight off knife- wielding maniacs. I know dream interp as a therapist. But this one reflected our current climate.💔

Many of you have seen the attack here in Boulder. I’m here to tell you that peaceful people of all backgrounds/faiths denounce extremism. It’s possible to support peace without being anti-Muslim or antisemitic. Stop with the blaming/racism. Support peace and anti-corruption.

One of the most blatant forms of Christian hypocrisy in our time is Christians holding all ordinary people accountable to the most rigid moral standards while simultaneously holding themselves and their preferred politicians accountable to no standards at all.
