Great job by Soto to keep this to a double.
Jung Hoo Lee came a couple off feet away from a game-tying homer off Edwin Diaz, but instead settles for a double
Alvarez looking confident and dangerous changes how the whole lineup flows.
Brett Baty singles Francisco Alvarez singles Ronny Mauricio walks All with nobody out, and the Mets get two runs out of it. The Baby Mets contributing and lengthening this lineup is how this team truly becomes elite
Clay Holmes will definitely be a reliever in the postseason.
I feel like we’ve already gotten as much as we possibly could out of the Clay Holmes starter experiment. I really don’t think it’s worth having him pitch 5 innings max every 5 days for the rest of the season.
Beautiful situational hitting leading to 2 runs??? I cant believe my eyes.
Who is everyone’s favorite Mets reporter to have post notifications on for? Need to decide on an overdue replacement for Tim Healey.
The home plate ump is singing and dancing with Mr. Met
Marte missing a few weeks was such an underrated loss
Why does our backup closer have a 4.28 era and 1.50 whip
Mets hitters go into WAY too many prolonged slumps every year and you can’t convince me the hitting coaches don’t deserve some of the blame.
Like 5 times a week I legitimately question if the Mets did any pregame preparation on the opposing starting pitcher.
The kid casters are evolving. They are getting too comfortable in the booth. I want nervous kids with voice cracks.
It is indeed. Theyve scored fewer than 3 runs 30 times which is way too often and are 5-25. The pitching is def a concern but when they score runs they win. A lot of their bad pitching nights happen at the same time the bats do nothing.
