The Forgotten Bookshop is a used bookstore coming fall 2025 - follow us for progress updates 📖 donations: http://coff.ee/theforgottenbookshop
I’ve had a few ppl ask how they can help with the bookshop. Right now we are looking for book donations: classics, history, philosophy, etc, just good quality literature. If you live within a couple of hours of the Florida space coast we could arrange a pick up.

Not to brag or anything but I’m X friends with a bookstore owner who is about to open one of the coziest bookstores.
It’s coming together
I was working at the bookstore tonight with my girls and we were having so much fun that we didn’t realize it was nearly 10 until one of them went to the shop next door to get a drink and it was closed But here are photos of our progress :) A few months ago. Now
Every word of this speaks to my soul. The only other acceptable thing to do with a book is give it to a used bookstore ;)
Yep. Even if I don’t reread them, they serve as reminders of when I bought them, where I got them, who I was with when they were purchased, and the discussions I had about them. They bring to mind all the lazy afternoons spent reading in bed or laying at the pool or backpacking…
I have 14 teenagers coming to help me organize books this afternoon. I unabashedly bribed them with pizza and community service hours 😌
The great literature of the world is our inheritance and so many squander it
Old bookstores are 100x better than modern Barnes and Noble slop
Working on the archway! I am a teensy bit scared of heights so am saving the top books for when I’m feeling brave 😅
Just received @plainrunner2 book! It looks incredible! Can’t wait read it and then put it up in my “Indie author” section!

Louisa May Alcott said … "Keep good company, read good books, love good things, and cultivate soul and body as faithfully as you can." from her novel Rose in Bloom (1876), a sequel to Eight Cousins.
Opening books people donated for the shop and found this absolute gem 😍 These were from the chapter titled “Offensive Escape Tactics” …there's something exhilarating, something daring and wild, about the following Offensive Escape tactics. So, if you're really stuck, or you…
What should I do with these? a: kindling b: recycle c: section titled “books you’re better off without”

Working in the bookshop is currently my happy place ☺️

Timeline cleanse. What is your favorite fiction read of all time, and what is your most favorite *recent* fiction read? They can also be the same book, lol
The used bookstore exists, and must continue to exist solely so this quote carries truth through another generation
Carl Sagan beautifully describes the power of books:
I had the silliest thing happen. Antique store was asking $200 for this cabinet, I asked if they’d take $175 and they countered with $150 😂
