Humans are a doubling creature. We make a model of ourselves and run social simulations on it. Metacognition is thinking about thinking, and self-acceptance is feeling about feeling. The divine double, the shadow, and the anima are all generative duplications.
I was just thoroughly doompilled last week. My hopes that intelligence doesn't scale infinitely/is context-dependent/trends towards benevolence were all effectively challenged. Turns out it's more about power than intelligence... Looks like we're fucked after all
