Congratulations, Brendan Griffith, on your election as the new president of @CentralLaborNYC. Union nurses and healthcare professionals are looking forward to working alongside you to build a strong and united labor movement in NYC!
Tonight at a meeting of Delegates to the NYCCLC, Brendan Griffith was elected and sworn in as President. Thanks to all of our Delegates who made their voices heard in support of a strong & united future for the NYC Labor Movement.
Mount Sinai South Nassau nurses marched on the boss to CNO Stacey Conklin's office to demand having negotiations onsite at the hospital or by adding a virtual option! Nurses were met by the HR VP who refused nurses' demands. Enough is enough! It's time to listen to nurses!

Registration is now open for the 2025 NYSNA Convention! Join us for two days of education, solidarity, advocacy and fun that will set the union’s direction and priorities. To register and learn more, check out nysna.org/convention

NYSNA nurses rallied with @CWA1180 members and the LGBTQIA+ community to #Save988! Getting rid of the 988 “Option 3” crisis hotline would not only cut 220+ union jobs, but it will harm the LGBTQIA+ community at a time when their rights and healthcare are already under attack.

The Trump administration announced that it would be getting rid of the 988 "Option 3" crisis hotline. PRIDE 988 is a free, confidential crisis counseling, mental health, & substance use support line for the LGBTQIA+ community. Rally tomorrow, Saturday 7/12 in NYC to Save 988!

We're not going to forget that Rep. Malliotakis voted on the devastating #OneBigUglyBill. Earlier this week, healthcare justice advocates, community members, and healthcare workers spoke outside her office to express our righteous rage! Fund Care, Not Billionaires!

Nurses are tired of healthcare CEOs lining their pockets with millions of dollars, while failing to invest in hiring and retaining their nurses. Nurses deserve safe staffing and respect.

NYSNA nurses strongly condemn the passage of Trump’s ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ which will gut healthcare, destroy economies, and endanger lives to enrich millionaires and billionaires. Unconscionable! Full statement: nysna.org/press/nysna-st…

Happy 4th of July! The 42,000 members of the New York State Nurses Association wish you all a safe and happy Independence Day!

Yesterday, the Senate voted on a budget bill that will slash funding for Medicaid – a lifeline for over 1.2M New Yorkers. This morning, NYSNA nurses in Long Island rallied outside @RepGarbarino office to urge him to vote on the side of nurses and our patients! #StopTheCuts

The greatest tool working people have to win dignity, power and respect is organizing. Proud to stand with my sisters and brothers in @NYHTC, @32BJSEIU, @nynurses and @CentralLaborNYC as your Democratic nominee for Mayor of New York City.
Today we joined @nynurses, @32BJSEIU, and @NYHTC to rally in support of @ZohranKMamdani for Mayor of NYC. NY is a union town and we are proud to stand in solidarity with Labor’s candidate.
“We certainly won’t tolerate Islamophobia against our future mayor,” says Nurses Association leader Nancy Hagans
Warm welcome for @ZohranKMamdani from his new union supporters @NYHTC, @nynurses, @CentralLaborNYC, @32BJSEIU, who are rallying with him in Midtown. Several backed Cuomo in the primary but have switched to Mamdani for the general
Our healthcare system relies on immigrants from around the world to care for our communities here in New York State. NYSNA nurses are firmly in solidarity with Haitian TPS holders and vehemently oppose this decision. Read our full statement nysna.org/press/nysna-op…
