I never saw anyone who despised losing more than Steve McMichael. He would sit there after games, hair hanging to his shoulders, game pants still on, just staring at the floor. I really appreciated his genuine disdain for losing. Too many players just rolled with it. RIP Mongo.

MLB official scoring is a complete joke. The terminology is “play made with a routine effort.” Mookie Betts hits a grounder to first, Gerrit Cole doesn’t cover first and Betts is given a hit? The ball does not have to be touched for an E to be committed.
