Beekeeping in Maine 🐝 🍯 🐝
@njhamlin
Everything Bees!! Just a chill spot to learn about bees from a Veteran in Maine.
And now we let everything rest. We will do it all over again tomorrow. We pulled on the low end of what we expected but still plenty.

The first of many this season. Honey will bee available through our website this Wednesday the 30th! Pure Raw and Unfiltered.

This sticky mess is wax cappings and honey that I'll let separate over night. This wax makes the best candles.

Operation Golden Flow is a go! My Veteran wife hates it when I call it that.
When we take the honey during the dearth, we leave sugar water as food. Our 10 frame hives use frame feeders and our 8 frame hives use the blue Ceracell feeders.

Been waiting for this weekend all year. Today is extraction day for us. Stay tuned for intriguing pictures today.
We set Saturday as harvest day. Now I've been like a kid waiting for Xmas morn all week. 2 more days!!! Once harvested, we need to let it sit for a day or two then we can begin bottling.

I did notice the VA working way more efficiently lately. This is a great move. Way to much dead weight that needed to be shed. federalnewsnetwork.com/federal-report…
A fully capped frame broke during inspections. First time of many, I'm sure. So I harvested one frame of honey today and have a sample of whats to come. So delicious.

Beautiful capped honey. Even though we haven't even harvested yet, we are already preparing for winter.

Bees doing bee stuff. Mite checks done. Formic acid added where needed. Life is Good.

The bees are doing fantastic. I'm hoping to pull over 120lbs of honey from this apiary this weekend.

The land owner at one of our Apiaries is pretty creative.

Posted 6 days ago. Not one answer. I'm sure his team is scheming polished DC answers. Just another elitist hoping to cash in Maine.
Friends, going to be going live again soon. Let's hear your questions for me.
