Rosenberg is always interesting to watch, as he's one of the more sophisticated hasbara pundits. Something horrible must be coming, and they are trying to get ahead of it by pinning it on Trump/Smotrich in order to prevent mass delegitimization of Israel per se.
The Netanyahu government’s extermination of Gaza intensifies. Malnutrition is rampant, children are starving to death, people are shot while waiting for meager food rations — and US weapons allow it to happen. Trump and Congress must act NOW. Stop the slaughter. Feed the people.
Here’s reporting on a leaked Israeli intelligence document that outlined Israel’s plan to ethnically cleanse Gaza. @Mondoweiss reported it on November 1, 2023. mondoweiss.net/2023/11/text-t…
Yes. In November 2023, I did not think that intent was clear. But I also argued that the question of whether it was or wasn't had no policy implications because starving/terror bombing civilians in service of regime change is no more permissible than doing so as an end in itself
Totally agree with this.
.@GavinNewsom: "I'm sick of it... This party needs to wake up. These guys aren't screwing around. And I say this not in a literal sense, but they're assassins when it comes to the way they weaponize grievance and the way they play politics. Enough. I mean, what more goddamn…
Wouldn’t it be terrible if someone used hunger as a weapon of control over a population
They never did. Just as they never had evidence that “UNRWA=Hamas.” It’s all part of an ongoing disinformation campaign to provide cover for a mass atrocity. And the Biden and Trump administrations have gone along with it.
Breaking News: Israeli military officials say they have no proof Hamas routinely steals UN aid, undercutting a claim Israel has used to limit food for Gaza. nyti.ms/4opoK4n

🧵My jaw is still on the fucking floor after reading Jenn Counter’s “Rules of Offensive Influence” — an unapologetic playbook for psychological warfare — that is published on Columbia’s website. I'm going to share some excerpts, then post the whole thing. As you read, keep in…

"Wilson’s vision of the brittleness of the American intelligentsia before a brazenly imperialist regime has never been more fully realized." Pankaj Mishra at his best: the US literary establishment has always delighted in speaking reassurance to power. harpers.org/archive/2025/0…
It reminded me of Jclo: "Trump is the truth of the long crisis... of class society’s near and not-so-near future... exploratory mission by the global ruling class, surveying the landscape of senescent capitalism and determining the precise brutalities appropriate to it."
Netanyahu would never have embarked on such a financially and politically costly and risky project if he wasn't given cast iron assurances by Western leaders that they would back to the very end. To and beyond the Final Solution
History will eventually show that when Western leaders (USA, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Holland) descended on Israel in the week after the 7th October they agreed with Netanyahu on the genocidal project and gave the ok for the Final Solution of the Palestinians and as a problem…
Good story on the global steel industry from Patricia Cohen of the New York Times 1/
The Israelis were crystal clear that their actual issue with the agency is that it maintains Palestinian birth and migration records, allowing the Palestinian nation to survive in diaspora and the right to return to be clearly fulfilled.
Michael Walzer's response was to say that UNRWA should have been eliminated years ago
The US defunded the primary UN organization feeding the people of Gaza in Jan 2024 and no one batted an eye. They did it to help Israel use aid as a weapon of war. Now as the predicted famine arrives in full everyone is throwing their alibis together and it makes me fucking sick
Remember this when he dies (it won't be long) and you see "socialists" talking about what a nice old grandpa he was.

Im so glad these videos exist as a record now that everyone’s pretending that Israel’s plan for a “final solution” in Palestine is a new development. I covered the “Nakba 2” settlers conference that over a dozen Knesset members attended over a year ago.
"Inside Israel's Plan for Nakba 2" reported February 4, 2024. The writing was on the wall from day one. If people didn't see it, it's because they didn't want to. youtube.com/watch?v=BCCW5a…
Antony Blinken did speak just last week! He blamed the continuation of the war on student protestors
The lack of urgency, and even silence, about Gaza from national security folks in the Biden Administration -- Anthony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, Samantha Power -- should be getting more attention. The Dems need more voices speaking out.
Ritchie Torres' district is 83% Black or Latino. Good that this Afro-Latino congressman is being so honest about whose "concerns" matter in his district.
Torres says he has “no plans to endorse” Mamdani: “I represent a substantial Jewish community in Riverdale, and there are real concerns about Mamdani — not among every Jewish New Yorker, but among many. “He has to address those concerns, not only with words but with deeds.”
It seems more people are waking up, however late, to Israel's historic and gruesome crimes in Gaza which will forever mark its perpetrators with shame for eternity. But waking up to the reality is not enough, dire action is needed to save every life while we still can.
