Huge upside of using Agents like Amp or Claude Code is that I'm no longer chained to my desk. I used to require a precise ergonomic setup allowing me to type all day without my tendonitis flaring up. Now I do far less typing, and take frequent "breaks" as the agent works for me.
FSD is driving me around right now and the latest version is SO GOOD. The rate of improvement has been exponential. Just 3 months ago it was “pretty good,” and a year ago it was unusable.
Worth revisiting this this fantastic piece from @jasoncrawford, "Who regulates the regulators?" blog.rootsofprogress.org/against-review…
Can we just stop and marvel for a moment at how deeply f*cked up this statement from Altman is? How could you have children and ever wish them to be *permanently outsmarted* by machines, much less BE THE ONE BUILDING THE MACHINES
This quote from @sama at the very end: "My kids, hopefully, will never be smarter than AI."
Yeah, we've already sailed past my definition of AGI written in the ancient time of…two months ago
They all say that AGI will be achieved once models can make novel contributions to Physics, but I'd like to set the bar higher at "make novel contributions to my codebase that I won't rewrite most of."
I still wear my @Meta glasses every day—they're my prescription lenses—but their AI has gotten Siri-level bad compared to modern-day agents. It's like GPT-3.5 trapped with 2023 knowledge and no tools (no web search!!). This isn't a HW problem—just upgrade the @#$ server already!
I am always completely shocked when I talk to developers/designers who are *in the workforce* and seem to be in some sort of denial about AI. "Oh yeah, I haven't played with it much" is a really common thing I hear…about something that will lose them their jobs. Insanity.
The most impressive part of Claude Code, for me, is the *fantastic* job they've done with an ultra-constrained text-based terminal UI. It's incredibly tryhard with its use of color, hotkey suggestions, and fluid, streaming layout engine. Never seen anything like it.

X is the place I go while I'm waiting for Claude Code to finish working.
This new, larger six-seat Model Y “L” would be our perfect family vehicle. The X was the best car ever back when the kids were in car seats, and the 6-seat config was awesome.
Here is what we know about the new longer Model Y L, according to information published publicly on China's industry ministry website today. • Seats 6 passengers • Curb weight: 4,605 lbs (2,088 kg), 209 lbs heavier than current Model Y AWD • Overall length: ~196 inches (4976…
Playing with @DecartAI - real-time video diffusion. It's pretty wild. No object permanence though, which you can demonstrate by playing peekaboo. I can almost hear the GPUs giggling.
Using the power of an entire datacenter to grade my 10yo’s summer math homework.

Anyone doing a stunt where they live their life 100% by asking ChatGPT what they should do all day every day?
"Ugh, I don't feel like fixing this problem right now" has now become "Ugh, I don't feel like explaining this problem in sufficient detail for an AI to magically fix for me right now." Humans are the greatest
I love so much that this video is upside down. Like toilets that flush counterclockwise
FSD working in Australia!!
Alright @steipete, the FOMO finally took hold. Let's see what ~unmetered usage gets me.
