NPM Ride the Ride: When: March 20, 2025 Route: Broad Street Line Stops: Tasker-Morris to City Hall Who: Philadelphia City Council President Kenyatta Johnson Why: Weekly City Council meeting #SEPTA #RideTheRide #FundSEPTA
Philadelphia City Council can’t say they care about affordable housing being built… AND THEN VOTE TO STOP 57 UNITS FROM BEING BUILT. Fuck councilmanic prerogative. Each member of City Council needs to be held accountable for stopping housing from being built.
Release the hostages. Dismantle Hamas. Then we can talk. Spare me the revisionist takes… they were chanting “globalize the intifada” on October 8th.
I don't think that the term "globalize the intifada" is appropriate but people need to be honest about the fact that the only way to cool the intensity and anger of the pro Palestine movement is to lift the siege on Gaza, supply food, arrest Bibi & establish a Palestinian state.
What’s worse… Saying you care about SEPTA but never riding it? Or saying you care about affordable housing while blocking housing with bad policy? Both are bad and happening. Both by members of Philadelphia City Council. Fund SEPTA. Build housing. Grow Philly to 2 Milly.
2025 Philadelphia City Council SEPTA Challenge: ride SEPTA once a week Guess what? They failed. Every hand did not go up. Ride the ride. FUND SEPTA.
2025 Philadelphia City Council SEPTA Challenge: ride SEPTA once a week Love it or hate it… tomorrow will be the final time I ask City Council if they rode SEPTA. 0/17: 1/24 1/30 2/6 2/14 2/27 3/6 3/13 4/3 5/15 5/29 6/5 1/17: 3/20 3/27 4/24 Fund SEPTA. Ride the ride.
Philadelphia City Council needs to change its housing policy strategy. Enough is enough. The current system is broken. - Upzone transit corridors - Single stair building reform - Bring back 10 year tax abatement - Eliminate inclusionary zoning Let builders build.
Enough is enough in Philadelphia. Time for Philadelphia City Council to get serious about cutting red tape and building housing. Time to repeal Inclusionary Zoning and make sure those responsible for the lies are held accountable.
This is a mentality that needs to be fully exorcised from our blue state politicians. Can’t go easy, it’s so deeply embedded in their world view.
The Swann Memorial Fountain is broken on the Parkway. The center fountain doesn’t work along with the turtles… because somebody stole the copper pipes. Hopefully it is fixed before 2026.

3 terms. That’s enough. Councilmanic prerogative has made accountability from members of City Council impossible. Term limits are the only way to fix it. Philadelphia City Council needs term limits now. #TermLimits #GrowPhilly
Grow Philly to 2 Milly… Philadelphia City Council needs term limits. That is the only way to continue to grow and change Philadelphia. If not, control and power influence too many land use decisions. Term limits now.

Philadelphia City Council President Kenyatta Johnson has come a long way on traffic safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers… It’s clear now… safety is his top priority. This is what progress looks like.
Thank you @CouncilmemberKJ
🚨🤔🚨 How much Police Overtime was spent on the Harris rally and paid for by Philadelphia taxpayers? $1,597,784 But the Harris campaign is going to reimburse the City, right? Nope. Now the question is what are the other expenses that the City did submit for reimbursement?
How much did the Harris rally in Philadelphia on Monday night cost to put on? Who paid for it? Harris campaign? City of Philadelphia? How much additional money did the City of Philadelphia spend on the rally/Monday which they won’t get reimbursed for? 🤔🤔🤔

Except the City of Philadelphia was stuck with the bill when it came to having a Harris rally on the Parkway? Or did the Harris campaign ever pay the City back? It seems like Philadelphia City Council needs to be allocating money in the budget for these types of events.
It’s because of police overtime Neighborhood groups are cancelling festivals because they can’t afford thousands of dollars it costs to have a cop block traffic while getting time and half
So you don’t support the police? 🤔 Because anti-PPA = anti-Cop. They both enforce rules. And “dumb city council charade”… fighting for SEPTA funding and more housing to be built… You sure no one gives a fuck about transit access or housing affordability in Philly? Really?
Shouldn’t you be working on some dumb city council charade no one gives a fuck about?
“Then maybe stick to sports”… And not comment on things that you don’t know what you’re talking about or will put peoples lives at risk? 🤔🤷♂️
