Seriously, 99% of my tweets are Pete Buttigieg-related.
🧵 THREAD I've started to keep track of Pete Buttigieg's most-watched videos on Twitter - clips that have over a million views. Here's what I've got so far, starting in September 2020...
Along with the whole Traverse City community, Chasten and I are shaken by the awful and senseless violence at Walmart earlier today. We’re thinking of everyone affected and hoping and praying for speedy recovery for all those who were injured.
A suspect is in custody after 11 people were injured in a "random" stabbing at a Michigan Walmart, officials say. Three people are undergoing surgery. cnn.it/3Uw204J

Recently prices have continued to rise for: - Beef - Coffee - Chocolate - Eggs - Household Utilities Candidate Trump talked a big game on lowering grocery prices during the campaign. But as president, he has failed.
I can't stand when pundits assume that Harris would run for Governor as a "consolation prize." 🙄 They don't even consider that maybe she genuinely has a vision for California and wants to serve. If she runs for the right reasons, I think she'd win in a landslide.
Ex-VP Harris: Food for Thought. Voters are not always inclined to award consolation prizes to losing candidates, even those at the top. Ex-VP Nixon lost the White House in a 1960 squeaker, then despite having won every election in his native California from 1946-1960, Nixon lost…

A different way of practicing politics is possible - where we vigorously fight for what’s right while inviting people into our coalition, rather than pushing them away.
I once heard someone say: "Belonging comes before belief." Meaning, people tend to change their minds *after* they join a group - not the other way around. When people feel welcome in a group, they're more likely to adopt the views of that group.
Pete is totally right about this. I often think about Neal Brennan's stand-up bit about how, "Liberals are the least welcoming people on the planet." Unfortunately, that's how a lot of people perceive our party. They see finger-wagging instead of welcome. That needs to change.
PLEASE listen to this!

"A king doesn’t have to worry about whether you can afford your daily necessities as a result of his policies." @PeteButtigieg says defending democracy isn’t enough—Dems must show how it improves lives. He cites @ZohranKMamdani’s affordability focus. If not? "We’re losing."👇

@PeteButtigieg is just a genuinely good, kind person. More people need to be that way.

Pete is offering a good and inspiring vision for the Democratic Party. This is what the country needs.

Trump is complaining about the cost of renovating Fed building but he is spending $1bn to renovate a new Air Force One that will only fly for about a year. nytimes.com/2025/07/27/us/… via @NYTimes
Wow. Great response!
ChatGPT asked Pete Buttigieg: "Do you think something like me—an AI trained in the past—can ever truly build a more just future, or will I always reflect the world as it is, not as it should be?" Listen to Pete's answer
Based on extensive fact-checking from sources like The Washington Post (30,573 false claims during presidency) and PolitiFact, Donald Trump's habitual, repeated falsehoods—often despite evidence—align with patterns of pathological lying. Yes.

Break it down, Secretary Pete. This is the truth! In Milwaukee, we competed for and won a $36 million federal grant to invest in 6th street — a thoroughfare connecting Black and Latino neighborhoods on the north and south sides of the city that were negatively impacted by the…
The Trump administration has taken its anti-diversity agenda to such extremes that it's killing good infrastructure projects - including roadway safety improvements that I worked on with congressional Republicans - just because they went to disadvantaged areas.
