Leader of Alberta’s New Democrats. For Alberta. For all of us.
Almost $150M. That’s how much Albertans are on the hook for because this UCP government keeps flip-flopping on their coal policy. And that’s just to settle one lawsuit! Think about what else we could have used that money for: health care, education, supporting Albertans in an…

Last weekend, I was thrilled to join the next generation of student leaders as they celebrated @CASAACAE's 30th anniversary! Congratulations on three decades of extraordinary work! You are smart, passionate, and give me incredible hope for the future!

As Albertans, let's continue supporting the community through its recovery. Our caucus is hosting the next meeting in Jasper to do our part. We encourage you to help out the local economy however you can.
Today a few of us from the Alberta New Democrat Caucus were in Jasper to commemorate 1 year since the wildfire. The message from local leaders, residents and first responders was clear: Jasper survived because people stood together. And we need to stand with them too. #ableg
I encourage all Albertans to visit Jasper this summer, taking advantage of the Canada Strong pass, and to support local businesses and residents. Our caucus has scheduled our next caucus meeting in Jasper to do our own small part, and many of us will visit with family and…
WATCH LIVE ▶️ On the one-year anniversary of the Jasper wildfire, Naheed Nenshi, Leader of Alberta’s New Democrats, responds to the UCP’s handling of the emergency response, calling for accountability, real leadership, and better support for the community:…
Targeting a journalist for doing her job is disgraceful. This is an attack on press freedom, plain and simple. The Premier must immediately condemn this behaviour. No one should face harassment or intimidation for seeking the truth.
This is targeted harassment designed to intimidate a reporter with the intention to deprive the public of access to the truth. It is an attack on not just the free press, but democracy. #AbLeg
Sickening to see the Premier of our Province, instead of supporting victims of the Jasper fire, use her energy to point fingers and ask the Municipality to apologize to her. People lost homes and their livelihoods. Yet, this Premier is more worried about her ego. #abpoli
The more I think about the Premier's comments, the more shocked I am. Public servants aren’t above criticism, and her behaviour was insensitive and unbelievably entitled. Albertans deserve better. The people of Jasper deserve better. youtu.be/JESxWlfiQgs
The Jasper Wildfire review is damningly clear about one thing: the UCP government exploited a life-and-death moment to play political games. And in their response to this report, rather than accepting responsibility and promising to do better, they do what they always do: lash…

Albertans have every right to be mad at Danielle Smith for wasting millions of dollars just to give separatists a platform. We're doing things differently: we'll be travelling across the province to engage Albertans in real conversations at their doors, their community events,…
Alberta's producers are facing a crisis and this UCP government is failing to respond. The UCP government has the tools it needs to support our industry. They are choosing to abandon our producers at this critical time. Check out my statement below to learn more.
We will continue to fight to ensure the investment meant to ease the cost of child care, including the low-income subsidy, gets to parents so they can better afford high quality and safe child care for their kids. #yycAcadia #abLeg #abpoli #CdnPoli #BetterTogetherSummer
Every time I'm out on the doors it's a blast! My friends Lauren, Olga and Katarina would agree. We get to have great conversations and talk about what is important to folks! Come join us sometime! Click here to sign up: volunteer.albertandp.ca/CFTH/ #abpoli #yyc #calgaryfoothillsndp
Getting sworn in as the MLA for Edmonton-Strathcona was a real honour, but I was most excited about sharing that moment with all of you. Thank you for celebrating with us and making this day so special!

Albertans are proud Canadians. We love our province, and we love this country. We know we're #BetterTogether. Alberta's New Democrats will be out across the province having conversations just like this one at your doors, town halls, and wherever you gather together in…
What a debacle. These Alberta Next panels are a sham. ctvnews.ca/canada/article…
