#OTD in 1953, USS Saint Paul (CA-73) took the last shot of the Korean War when the heavy cruiser fired an eight-inch projectile at Communist shore batteries moments before the truce was signed. The Saint Paul also was the last major warship to fire a salvo during WWII.
