The sad thing is for the 4 people injured it could have been any of us, even if we were in a licensed black taxi The comments here do terrible harm to the reputations of those good drivers in the trade. There's some marketing geniuses commenting here. metro.co.uk/2025/04/10/fou…
Angel Islington To add to the chaos in Islington a @TfLTPH licensed minicab has managed to drive through a shopfront on Upper Street 🤦🏻♂️
Gregs is definitely better than Greggs. It is hard to find a meat pie made to the standard found in an Australian country town bakery made here in London.

Huge respect to @SocEnvJustice. Boldly leading the charge against… kids cycling safely to school on infrastructure like #cycleway4. Because nothing says social environmental justice like more traffic, more emissions, and fewer cycleways. Peak hypocrisy in hi-vis. 🚗💨🚸🌍🫠
Ah yes, the My Way Code strikes again: where drivers invent rules and cyclists are just background decoration. FYI: failing to yield and cutting across a live lane of riders isn’t bold, it’s illegal. Drivers MUST give way. But sure, you do you. 🚗🤷♂️🚴♀️📕 #cycling #cycleway4
Nothing says “Every Little Helps” like a Tesco van ignoring give way markings and cutting off a cyclist they knew was there. Turns out, giving way is optional when you're on a tight meal deal schedule. #Tesco #Cycling #EveryLittleHarms #Cycleway4

Nobody uses #Cycleway4 ❌ Cyclists don't stop on red lights ❌ Cyclists endanger pedestrians ❌ Floating bus stops are unworkable ❌ Cycling is just a hobby ❌ Cycleways cause traffic jams ❌ #Cycling to work is enjoyable 👍👍👍
David Poblet, aged 20, was killed by a lorry at this exact spot on the 22nd March 2011. It was a horrendous junction that has been totally transformed by #Cycleway4. @SocEnvJustice and other floating bus stop haters either want these children in cars as traffic or under a truck

To the floating bus stop haters. If your solution puts cyclists and buses in the same lane, it’s not a solution. Forcing some of the most vulnerable road users to share space with the biggest, most time-pressured vehicles isn’t safe, it’s a design failure.

This #LondonsFinest cabbie should be grateful for the cycle lane, or I’d have been closer to his window, and he’d now be jobless. Peter Harris was killed cycling here by a distracted driver like this careless cabbie using his phone while driving over the speed limit in the wet.

It doesn't bode well when our Transport Minister believes allowing vehicles to drive through again is a compromise while still calling this an LTN. Not only is being able to haul a fridge is a good compromise, let's go for the whole shop. Apologies for mixing up rule H2 with H3.
Are you really saying it's safe to cycle near home? This is what the revised LTN is today, right now It's hard enough walking young children to Manor Park, yet alone going cycling.
Some anti-cycleway accounts claim bus lanes are perfectly safe for cyclists of all ages and abilities, eliminating the need for cycleways that incorporate floating bus stops. Would you let your 6 year old cycle here? Without cycleways, where would you let them cycle?
A gentle reminder that it's cyclists from LTNs that are responsible for the increase in pollution on boundary roads. This "selfish" minority of middle aged white hobbyists are supposedly murdering children from their increased emissions coming out of their bicycle exhausts /S
Reminder to all that the @TheGreenParty recently voted to restrict kids to cycling on the roads with these buses on Bus Services (No.2) Bill at the House of Lords. How they expect parents to leave the cars behind voting by proxy to ban infrastructure like #cycleway4 is beyond me.
