Yesterday, NCAFP CME & Events Director Kathryn Atkinson led her final @AENCtweets Annual Meeting as President! Kathryn conducted the meeting’s official business and introduced several awards – including giving the President’s Award to @gkgriggs! Congrats to Kathryn and Greg!

Today is a great milestone for our very own @gkgriggs: 20 years of outstanding work in service to NC family physicians! That span is no small feat - and neither is the impact Greg has made. Enjoy this tribute video from Greg’s colleagues and friends: vimeo.com/1102218451?

NCAFP past president @dowlerdoc appeared on @nytimes The Daily to discuss Medicaid reductions! Her care for rural patients gives Dr. Dowler insight into how lost Medicaid coverage will affect them: “There are going to be challenging aspects,” she says. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/one…

Had a great few days on Capitol Hill earlier this week advocating for family physicians and their patients. Great meetings with Rep. Murphy, Rep. Moore, Rep. Adams, and Rep. Foxx, as well as healthcare staff from many of the others in NC's Congressional delegations.

Thank you to Rep. @timreedernc, Rep. @CampbellforNC, and Rep. @ReecePyrtleNC for meeting with Dr. Bailey Sanford and @hannahrayala! They are both completing our policy elective, so visiting the General Assembly to discuss these reps' own advocacy journeys was a great day!

Here is everything you need to know about the Hybrid Summer Symposium from this past weekend! NCAFP members learned together, earning up to 26.50 CME credit hours and enjoyed the usefulness and camaraderie of shared learning. Read more: ncafp.com/news/ncafp-202…

The Symposium is off to a great start! First up is the Care of Women KSA with Dr. Jonathon Firnhaber. The room is full, the teaching is great, and the weekend has only just started! (Here's a peek at how our virtual attendees are enjoying the KSA!)

Tomorrow, the Summer Symposium starts! We can't wait to see everyone in Greensboro and online! If you want to attend virtually, you can register through Saturday morning: ncafp.com/summercme
