Drama. Poor penalty, decent save but crucially failed to put it around the post, and Chloe Kelly pounces on the rebound.
This game looks England’s for the taking now, they must guard against any complacency though, Italy still showing glimpses on the break…
The #Lionesses surely with the momentum here, need to carve out some more of those chances they created towards the end of the 90…
Just when it looked like they’d run out of time, when they hadn’t found the guile to unlock and overcome Italy, they find a goal…. Extra time is coming…
Feels like a big blow losing Lauren James, for me the one England player who looked like she had the confidence and ability to make that killer final pass or cross, or shot.
Finally a testing ball right across the 6 yard box and Italy lead… key was working the ball in behind, getting to the goal line and then that ball across was just begging to be smashed home.
Some good play in this semi final but the crossing and final ball/pass has been almost uniformly terrible…
