We don’t always get to pick & choose the moments where we make a difference. We don’t always know the conversations that students will remember. As educators, we should never underestimate our impact. We might not know when & we might not know how but our impact is always there.
We don’t ask pilots to pay for airplane fuel. We don’t ask cops to pay for guns, bullets or handcuffs. And we don’t ask doctors or nurses to pay for medicine or surgical equipment. So then why is it ok to ask teachers to supply their own classrooms?
Every teacher deserves a principal who will inspire them… encourage them… support them… and trust them. Leadership matters.
