After the original fairytale ending, why did they make Mike such a prick in the Amazon era? Going off on a months long bike tour of Europe, falling for Angela and now engaged to her? 😫 I’m hoping he’ll redeem himself in the finale and call Jane for a reunion! 🙏 #Neighbours

Great to see Beverly back on #Neighbours this week, and in a meaningful way. I would love to see her and Hilary together! They were best friends back in Adelaide!

I’m worried we have entered another dip on #Neighbours. Not quite as woeful as the Seb/Fallon era but it’s all gone a bit predictable and dull with stories that don’t really seem to be going anywhere (Holly and Andrew aside). Possibly due to the off screen news around this time.

I am loving the gradual unravelling of the Rodwell marriage! It’s been such a good slow burn. All it needs is an injection of Felix or Quinn (or both) to add even more complicated dynamics! #Neighbours
Oscar Branning is one of the freshest and most entertaining characters in a long time! Please keep him this way #Eastenders lords - can we not make him depressed or homeless or caught up in life or death criminality? A breath of fresh air. And I am loving his scenes with Brian.

I said I’d give Oscar Branning’s debut a go… and I loved him! Brilliant character and really enjoyable first episode - looks like there’s lots to work with there. Could reinvigorate Lauren and Peter. Maybe I’ll keep watching until his Dad turns up. #EastEnders

Should say - all these episodes are on YouTube’s “Neighbours Classics” channel. Fremantle have been quietly adding the early eps over there for a number of months now. And, yes, it’s a real shame they’ve taken out all the iconic 80s incidental music but it’s better than nothing!
After all these years, I have finally watched all of the 1985/ Channel 7 #Neighbours. (I had originally started watching around Feb 1988 on BBC which was early into the 1986 season) It’s been great to fill in so many blanks and get to know some characters I didn’t really know. 🧵
