🎉 Congratulations to Dr @natalie_matosinwho has been named the recipient of the Aubrey Lewis Award in recognition of her pioneering research into how stress shapes the human brain and drives mental illness.
✨ New paper ✨ Psychiatric disorders share genetic roots, but how? With exon-level brain data, we linked common & rare variants to 110 core genes in pathways such as cortisol & dopamine , mainly in excitatory neurons, offering new therapeutic targets 🧠🧬nature.com/articles/s4139…

🔔 New preprint 🔔 We show our previously reported heightened FKBP5 gene expression in psychiatric disorders and with age are likely to be moderated by epigenetic mechanisms. Great work by @katrinazedmond and @domkaul with our collaborators @binder_lab + @LieberInstitute
