Guys, they want to build a 36 story tower in our beloved Old Town in place of a 1 story Walgreens. High rises are going to ruin the character of the neighborhood! You can see here, there's no high rises right nearby. After 2 years and 10 community meetings, we didnt get a voice!

Looks like Dialtone will open a 2nd location, in River North, at 353 W Grand Ave I'm pretty sure this is the 1st ever tenant here. The location was a hardware store, but that building was torn down and a new 38 floor + retail building was built there a small handful of years ago

A new coffee shop just opened that's actually open beyond 7pm in town. A rare, dying type of place all over the country really. Dialtone Coffee + Wine Bar at 1136 N Wells St. Looks like they serve coffee (and other things) til 10pm on weekends and 9pm every other day.

Demolition permit was issued yesterday for the 1 story medical clinic building at Clybourn & Larrabee yesterday. Fencing already up. A few years ago there were plans to build 742 units in 3 phases with 22K sq ft of commercial space. But in April/May there was a new RFP...
