That was a terrible broadcast call on the men’s 400m. The commentary was more appropriate for the in stadium announcer. You can’t zone in on a single athlete for 350m of a 400m race.

No matter how much track and field fans on this side of the Atlantic cuss about the sport being a bit Eurocentric, the European fans definitely turn out and pack those stadiums almost every time.
