Wolbachia bacterias can prevent mosquitoes from transmitting deadly viruses such as dengue and chikungunya. Thus, releasing laboraty-made mosquitoes infected this bacteria resulted in a protective efficacy of 77% after 2 years! So cool ! ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…
