Monumentally patronising from @MayorOfWY and the leader of @bradfordmdc. Went to the pretty impressive new market today but ripping 1000 jobs out from the city centre probably isn't great for business.

A lot of people do tell us they’d like to see ‘bigger acts’ at Bradford Live. Councillor Ross-Shaw said in May ‘as we approach 2026 we’ll see more and more live music programmed in’ - and this is obviously something plenty of people, including me, will be keeping a close eye on.
Utter nonsense! Also despite ARS assuring me Trafalgar are a concert promoter it turns out they are a theatre promoter and have zero experience as a bona fide concert promoter. The best they can manage are tribute acts. Bradford Live is going to die unless you get rid of them.

Such a fundamental piece of information - how much more public money was pumped into Darley Street Market - has still not been disclosed to the public, two months since I asked the question in a Freedom of Information request. TWO MONTHS! The mind boggles, it really does.

It's a white elephant. Worse that this, it is a scandalous waste of public money. We have acres of empty office space within a mile of this place.

Anyone that bands around the phrase "tribute acts" when Bradford Live is opening with Bill Bailey & they've had to get acts at relatively short notice doesn't really fill me with confidence. The line-up thus far is better than NEC proposed.
